Transition

The transition from primary to secondary school is an exciting one for your child, with the opportunity to form new friendships, study new subjects and discover new passions. We also understand that it can be a daunting experience and so we work very hard to ensure you and your child feel reassured, happy and ready for the challenges ahead.

Our transition programme starts long before their first day in September and involves:

• Visits to primary school
• Information packs
• Parent evenings
• Induction Day
• First day Year 7 and 12 only

We want students to be able to gain confidence and develop resilience so that they are able to embrace the new opportunities secondary school life at Claremont brings. Transition doesn’t then end on their first day. Throughout their time with us, they will be supported through our excellent pastoral system.
