Top marks for 2024 GCSE results!
This year’s GCSE results at Claremont High School in Kenton continue the school’s tradition for top marks with 696 grades 7 to 9 achieved. Headteacher Ms Hyde-Boughey said: ‘These are a terrific set of results. They are testimony to the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the students and their teachers.’
Ahaan Saraf, aged 16, got nine grade 9’s. ‘I always aimed high,’ he said, ‘but I never realised my aspirations would come to fruition. It was a rollercoaster and my grades are a credit to my parents, friends and teachers.’ Dulanya Amadoru, also 16, got eight grade 9’s and two grade 8’s. ‘I feel utterly shocked,’ she said on seeing her results. ‘I am so proud that all the hard work paid off. I could not be happier!’ Asher Siddiqui, 16, got eight grade 9’s. ‘I can’t believe it,’ he said. ‘I had to check the results twice! I am so happy and grateful to all my teachers for the extra support they gave.’ Kruti Shah, 16, also got eight grade 9’s, recalling revising as ‘very stressful’ but saying she’s ‘very happy’ now.
Mrs Hyde-Boughey and other members of staff were at school on results day on 22nd August to congratulate the pupils in person. ‘I am delighted for all our students and the school is incredibly proud of them,’ she said.
