Further Maths is a subject that builds upon A Level Maths and goes into greater depth and complexity. Studying A level Further Mathematics is excellent preparation for a degree in Mathematics. Mathematical and statistical problem solving, data analysis and interpretation skills are all developed through the study of A-level Maths and are considered valuable in a broad range of subject areas Many university maths departments encourage students to take Further Mathematics at A level as it introduces a wider range of pure and applied content, such as matrices and complex numbers.
